Owen’s Fish Camp Located in Quiet Part of Downtown Sarasota
Many locals as well as regular winter snowbirds tell us that Owen’s Fish Camp is a Sarasota tradition, a must-visit restaurant for excellent fish and seafood. However, those who have never been to our rustic, old time seafood shack sometimes have trouble finding us. It’s not that difficult.
Owen’s is located right in downtown Sarasota, but instead of sitting on the waterfront, we’re inland a bit from the hustle and bustle of Bayfront Drive, Sarasota Marina and the high-rise condos that overlook the bay. An easy way to find us is to take Ringling Boulevard towards St. Armand’s Key and turn left at the roundabout at Pineapple Avenue, and then turn right at Selby Lane. Go one street to Burns Lane and turn right again. You’ll find us on the left at 516 Burns Court on the east side of the street. The large Banyan tree out front, given to Owen Burns by Thomas Edison is a great way to locate us. You’ll be glad you did because we have the freshest locally sourced seafood and the best Southern hospitality and ambiance in Sarasota.
