Owen’s Fish Camp in Sarasota offers some of the freshest seafood you’ll find in the state. We also have a fun atmosphere and we love welcoming everyone to our place for a great dinner. We’re called a fish camp for a reason, we have fresh caught fish coming in from the local waters every day of the week. No one wants to eat something as exotic and fun as our shrimp-and-chicken Jambalaya in an uptight, stuffy atmosphere–that’s why they come to Owen’s Fish Camp, and eat great food among great friends.

Jambalaya isn’t the only thing being served at our venue. Take a bite of one of our most popular sandwiches, and you’ll agree that it’s called “The Really Good Burger” for a reason. Note that we didn’t call it, “The Best Sandwich Here”: That’s because it isn’t. A true Florida experience isn’t complete without trying our Blackened Mahi Po’Boy, made with bacon, remoulade and pepper jelly and served with a side of Old Bay fries or our house slaw.

If you’re with your sweetheart, and you two lovebirds can’t stop looking into each other’s eyes long enough to look at the menu, give our Low Country Boil a chance. It’s the saving grace for the indecisive and has it all: crab legs, shrimp, mussels, clams, andouille sausage, potatoes and corn.

We want to welcome you to Owen’s Fish Camp, located Burns Court in Downtown Sarasota, just behind the looming Banyan tree. On your visit to our fine city, we are the go-to place for fine food and Southern Hospitality in a casual atmosphere. Of course,we wouldn’t be a fish camp if we weren’t serving fresh fish caught daily in Sarasota Bay.

Our fresh fish is served by our friendly staff and is accompanied by delicious, classic Southern sides such as black-eyed peas & andouille sausage or spicy local collard greens among many others. Pair your meal with a craft beer or a glass of wine.

Owen’s is located right in downtown Sarasota, but instead of sitting on the waterfront, we’re inland a bit from the hustle and bustle of Bayfront Drive, Sarasota Marina and the high-rise condos that overlook the bay. An easy way to find us is to take Ringling Boulevard towards St. Armand’s Key and turn left at the roundabout at Pineapple Avenue, and then turn right at Selby Lane. Owens Fish Camp is a family-friendly restaurant. When you arrive, you will see a large tree at the front of the building and a tire swing at the back of the home. Only the freshest fish is served each day. Side dishes are southern classics, such as hush puppies, macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. You will find that the staff goes out of their way to ensure that you have an enjoyable experience from the time you arrive until you leave the restaurant. There is a generous wine and beer selection and homemade desserts each day. Reservations can be made for large groups.
